This is an ammonia detoxifier, not a binder. This will PERMANENTLY neutralize ammonia so your beneficial bacteria can still colonize and multiply. As opposed to a binder, in which the ammonia stays bound for a few days and the bonds release and the ammonia becomes toxic again.
